The Vividi Cross Country Federation
Within Vividi, Cross Country is the designation for Eventing. Within the VCF, we distinguish each phase with the initials DR, SJ, and XC.
The VCF is proud to offer two special programs for our competitors. Both the Future Horse and the Young Horse are designed to showcase younger horses who compete with the intent to reach the highest levels of competition.
Future Cross Country Horse
Prospect Classes designed for horses who are aimed at CC as their main discipline. These horses will be shown against horses their own age, rather than in open prospect classes. Weanling, Yearling, Two year olds and Three year olds may participate in this program. While not required, most horses that participate in this program go onto the YH program.
Young Cross Country Horse
Designed for horses that are aimed for CC as a main discipline. Horses start with YH Introductory and progress to Lower-Novice as six year olds before joining the open classes. Participation in the YH program allows for special awards and shows throughout the year. Horses may join the YCH program at Four or Five years of age.
Elidgability:
Horses in the YH program may not show in the open General shows until they're 7 years of age or they forfiet their elidgability for Advanced Celebration that occurs every two years just for graduates of the YCH program.
