$500 per person, flat rate. Fee is payable to Spur Western Horse Federation and is required to show. Fees entitle you to end of year achievements and help pay for class prizes.

Western Riding

WR - Western Riding in Spur is a collection of classes designed to test a horses natural ability in western tack. All around Western Riding horses fall under the catagory Western Riding, which has three phases; Western Pleasure, Western Trail and Western Horsemanship. Western Pleasure, Western Trail, and Western Horsemanship are disciplines in themselves.
Western Dressage consists of five levels; Intro, Basic, Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3


Western Speed

Barrel Racing · Gymkhana

WS - Western Speed is two tests of the horse's agility and speed. Horses compete against the clock and the fastest time wins. Barrel Racing is a discipline in itself, whereas Gymkhana consists of two 'phases'; Barrel Racing and Pole Bending


Working Western

Cutting · Reining · Roping · Versatility Ranch Horse · Working Cow Horse

WW - Working Western is western riding with it's roots in ranch work. Cutting, Reining and Roping are their own discinct discipline. Working Cow Horse consists of three phases; Reining, Fence Work and Herd Work. Versatility Ranch Horse, for inclusion in Spur, has been tailored to follow the rules of competition. It consists of three phases as well; Ranch Riding, Ranch Reining and Ranch Cutting.
